NE Grasslands National Park - Bioblitz 2022

Rapid survey of farms in the north-eastern corner of the Eastern Cape to assess priorities for inclusion in a proposed new National Park.

Processing of samples is still under way, but we have already confirmed at least three undescribed ant species, as well as the first record of Myrmicaria anomala since its description in 1960 and in addition an undescribed flightless katydid in the genus Austrodontura.
